Monday, June 9, 2008 - Engine 81 was dispatched to cover Station 83 who was operating on a vacant dwelling fire on the Black Horse Pike. Rescue 81 was special called for cascade work and scene lighting. Engine 81 was then relocated to the scene for manpower. |

Saturday, April 5, 2008 - Marine Taskforce 81 was dispatched for a water recovery on the Big Timber Creek.Further investigation found the recovery to be in Gloucester County, Deptford Twp. DTPD found the services of the Taskforce were not needed and would be handled by Deptford Twp. |

Saturday, March 29, 2008 - Rescue 81 responded to Magnolia with a crew of 6. The crew set up scene lighting and interior lighting to the fire apartment and assisted in overhaul operations. |

Friday, March 28, 2008 - Rescue 81 was special called to and "All Hands Fire " at the Millbridge garen Apts. in the Chews Landing section of the Twp. on Friday evening arriving crews had heavy fire but made a quick knock down. The Rescue was released at 22:44 hrs. |

Friday, March 28, 2008 - Task Force 81 was dispatched for a dwelling fire in the 200 Blk. of
Station Ave. 810 on location had a light smoke condition in the basement the resident reported a small fire in the basement. The fire was contained to the water heater, crews performed ventilation and overhaul. |

Saturday, November 17, 2007 - Rescue 81 and Tower Engine 81 were special called to assist at a 2 alarm building fire in the Chews Landing section of the township. 8201 arrivied on location and had smoke showing from the roof area. The crew from the rescue went to manpower and were re-directed to the neighboring apartments to pull ceilings and check for extinsion. Tower Engine 81’s crew went to manpower. Tower ladder 82 and 84 made quick work of the involved building, then crews performed extensive overhaul.  |

Sunday, October 21, 2007 - The Glendora Fire Department has added a new support apparatus to the fleet. Having attained some used trailers from the county the firefighter set out on building a light and power trailer. The trailers were disassembled and stripped the metal was salvaged to buy the supplies needed to construct the trailer. The trailer is equiped with a honda 3500 watt generator, 2 500 wat tri-pod lights, 2 500 watt portable lights, 2 200 ft. hard wired cord reels and 1 100 ft. air reel. It is also equipped with an onboard pancake air compressor and 2 2216 working air bottles for air powered tools that require a higher working pressure.

Sunday, July 22, 2007 - The Board of Fire Commissioners Fire District No.1 purchased FESH escape systems from Golfire Inc.for each of its firefighters. these systems are also known as bail out systems. Each firefighter who completed the training were issused a class II harness, hook, belay, bag and rope. Each firefigher received 4 hours of hands on training at the Camden County Fire Academy. This system will allow a firefighter to escape from upper floors of a structure if the conditions become unstable.  |

Friday, July 13, 2007 - The Glendora Fire Company and The Board of Fire Commissioners teamed up to purchase a 2008 Ford F-350 SUPER DUTY, the fire district purchased the vehicle and the fire company purchased the plow and installation. This apparatus unit number will be 818 and will serve many functions that include towing the Township Haz Mat trailer, the fire districts bike team trailer and the marine unit. The apparatus is also equipped with a Western snow plow.

Wednesday, June 27, 2007 - At approximately 23:30 hours heavy rain and thunder storms began to move through the Camden County area. One of the hardest hit areas was the Glendora section of Gloucester Twp. It was to become one of the busiest nights in recent memory. The night began with a transformer struck and live primary wires burning in the street on Pasadena Dr. Engine Co. 81 secured the intersection. The chief was making his way to the other end of the street when he encountered another set of wires down on Malibu Dr. He tried to gain access via Beverly Dr. where he encountered still another set of wires down. The engine sent personnel on foot to inspect the down wire and possible open some roadways, many of the lines were cable and phones the lines were cleared and the roadway opened. Call number four was a Task Force 81 assignment for a building fire on Hildebrand Ave. a lightening strike had hit a shed causing it to ignite. Engine 75 stretched one 1.75 handline and knocked down the fire. Number five on Austin Ave reported smoke in back yard was related to the shed fire. Call number six a resident came to the fire station to report wires down on Keller Dr. Ulitiy 819 handed the assignment by securing the street along with GTPD. Call number seven Beverly Dr. and Beverly Cr. 8101 responded to find a large tree that appeared to be sheared at the top and thrown down into the street. Further investigation revealed several downed power lines and damage to fencing and one vehicle that was moved and placed on the lawn and encased in the tree’s debris. Call number eight Engine 812 responded to Pasadena Dr and Laguna Dr. to remove a large tree in the roadway. Call number nine 509 Beverly Dr. another fallen tree. Number ten was another Task Force 81 dwelling call on Woodland Ave. this call was found to be in the Blenheim section of Gloucester Twp. All units cleared and Engine 812 proceeded to 1009 Pineland Ave to assist in the Dwelling fire in Blenheim, it was deemed to be a small dryer fire. In all the firefighters from Glendora handled 11 assignments in 4 and half hours. Special thanks to our mutual aid departments that assisted us Stations 82, 84, 29, 75, BLS 806, GTPD.  |
